Studio showcase, interactive

Christmas Wonder

A 3D Christmas scroll experience designed and built in Webflow as an Agota Studio showcase, with a 750-frame scroll sequence, sound and a letter-to-Santa form.

The project

Christmas Wonder is a seasonal experiment made at my studio, Agota Studio, to see how far a scroll-driven 3D story can go inside Webflow. As you scroll, a rendered winter scene plays out frame by frame, with music if you want it, and ends with a letter you can send to Santa.

What I did

I designed and built it in Webflow with GSAP. Image sequences this long are heavy, so most of the work went into loading: a preloader prepares the frames, scrolling stays smooth while they stream in, and sound stays off until the visitor turns it on.

How the site is built

  • About 750 frames, driven by scroll. The scene moves exactly as fast as the visitor scrolls, forwards or backwards.
  • Loading as part of the show. A preloader with an audio choice turns the wait into the opening scene.
  • A reason to stay. A winter gallery and a “Write Santa a letter” form give visitors something to do once the story ends.
  • Desktop first. The experience is designed for large screens and says so on smaller ones.

On the live site

  • Scroll-driven 3D sequence of about 750 frames
  • Preloader with optional sound
  • Winter gallery and a "Write Santa a letter" form
